Accessibility Statement

SR22AutoIns.com is committed to making its information accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
1.Our commitment
We believe that clear, plain-language information about Illinois SR-22 requirements should be usable by every visitor. We treat accessibility as an ongoing obligation, not a one-time project.
2.Measures we have taken
- Semantic HTML with a single
<h1>per page and a consistent heading hierarchy. - Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA for body text and interactive elements.
- Tap targets sized 44×44 CSS pixels or larger for primary actions.
- Descriptive link text; no “click here” or “learn more.”
- Visible focus outlines on all interactive elements, including a skip-to-main-content link.
- Server-rendered content (no essential text hidden behind toggles that require JavaScript to reveal).
- Forms with visible labels, error text tied to inputs, and no reliance on color alone to communicate state.
- Fonts self-hosted with
font-display: swapto keep text readable during loading.
3.Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility. sr22autoins.com is designed to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the standard.
4.Known limitations
- Some long data tables (for example, the full Illinois ZIP directory) rely on progressive-disclosure elements; their contents are present in the rendered HTML but may require expanding to view visually.
- Third-party embeds, if added in the future, may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA at the time of embedding.
We treat each known limitation as an item to remediate.
5.How to report a barrier
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on sr22autoins.com, please tell us through our contact form, using the request type “Accessibility issue.” Include the page URL, the barrier you encountered, and, if helpful, the assistive technology or browser you were using.
We commit to acknowledging accessibility reports within five business days and to providing a target remediation date or a workaround when one is available.
6.Review and updates
We review this statement whenever we make significant changes to the Site’s structure or add new features. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows the most recent review.
