This policy describes SR22AutoIns.com’s internal do-not-call and suppression practices and how they interact with federal and Illinois do-not-call laws. Read it together with our TCPA Policy.
1.Overview
SR22AutoIns.com maintains an internal do-not-call and suppression list. Any request to be added to that list is honored regardless of whether we currently place calls to the number in question.
2.How to be added to our internal list
Submit a request through our contact form using the request type “Do Not Call request.” Include the telephone number you want added and, if you have it, the date and time of any prior call in question. If the number is not yours, you must have authority to submit it.
3.Timing and retention
Requests are added to our internal suppression list within 30 days of receipt and are retained for at least five years, consistent with 47 C.F.R. § 64.1200(d). Requests remain in effect until you ask us to remove them.
4.We do not place outbound marketing calls
SR22AutoIns.com does not place outbound telemarketing calls and does not send marketing text messages. Our internal do-not-call list therefore functions primarily as a suppression list, so that no future advertising activity by SR22AutoIns.com would ever reach a number that has asked to be excluded.
5.The National Do Not Call Registry
You can register your personal residential or mobile telephone number for free at donotcall.gov. Registration lasts until you remove it and prevents most telemarketing calls from most legitimate marketers.
6.Illinois Do Not Call provisions
Illinois participates in the National Do Not Call Registry and applies the restrictions of the federal Telemarketing Sales Rule, 16 C.F.R. Part 310, and the TCPA to telemarketing activity directed at Illinois residents. Illinois also regulates automated dialing and recorded-message telephone calls under the Automatic Telephone Dialers Act, 815 ILCS 305, and restricts recording of private conversations under 720 ILCS 5/14-2.
7.Third-party lists are separate from ours
Being added to our internal suppression list suppresses SR22AutoIns.com. It does not suppress the internal do-not-call list of any third-party insurance agent, broker, or carrier that you may have spoken with after calling the number on this Site. Each third party maintains its own list and is independently responsible for its own compliance.
8.Who to contact if a third party keeps calling
If a third party continues to call you after you have asked them to stop, contact that party directly and ask to be added to their internal do-not-call list. You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at donotcall.gov and, for Illinois, with the Office of the Illinois Attorney General at illinoisattorneygeneral.gov. If the call originated as a result of your call to the number on this Site, you may also let us know through our contact form.
